  On May 26, 2016 the rollingstone.com website has an article titled "40 Best Science Fiction TV shows of All time" see this link,   40 Best Science Fiction TV Shows of All Time    Star Trek: The Original Series 1966-69 came in at First Place !! While Star Trek: The Next Generation came in at 17th place
  The website  Ign.com  on March 19, 2009 has an article titled  The Many Looks of Captain Kirk - IGN   about the great Diversity of different looks Kirk has in TOS & The Trek Films, and how he always looks great, the article even tells how in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Kirk looks great in medical  Scrubs , when him McCoy & Dr. Gillian Taylor try to rescue Chekov from the Hospital - 
1. On August 22, 2018 an article by Joe Gross on the website austin360.com is titled " William ‘James T. Kirk’ Shatner coming to Austin in January "   William Shatner, is referred to as "William 'James T. Kirk' Shatner"     Shatner & Kirk will forever be lined to each other , synonymous with each other, the article also says "SHAAAAAAATNER !   SHAAAAAATNER!"  
1.  An article by Kate Gardner on  themarysue.com  website on August 21, 2018 is titled   James Tiberius Kirk Is the Original Mary Sue   and the article says how the term "Mary Sue" today is used to mean a character that is "too perfect" that the character is "underdeveloped" and mentions how in Star Trek: Into Darkness, Scotty refers to Kirk as "Captain James Tiberius Perfect Hair" the Article also says that   " In the original series, Kirk is incapable of doing wrong. Part of this is because the Original Series is a happy, hopeful show where good triumphs and the heroes always win the day. But Kirk never takes a misstep. He always wins the day, no matter what.   William Shatner is going to have a live screening of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, an article on the website austinchronicle.com is titled  William Shatner Announces Live Conversation   and it says in the article dated August 20, 2018 that  " William Shatner. Legend. Icon. Raconteur. Delightfully sardonic and painfully honest. For the past few years, he's kept up a hectic acting career, while also concentrating on his one-man stage shows. Now Bass Concert Hall is combining the two for a special screening of  Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan  with Shatner at the helm. " My point being the fictional character of Captain James T. Kirk played by Shatner can also be described as a "Legend,Icon, Raconteur, Delightfully sardonic and painfully honest"
